Calcivia is for everyone. We design the site so it is easy to use, whatever device or assistive technology you use.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. This is our goal. We have not had the site formally audited, and some parts may not fully meet it yet.
What we do
Keyboard
- You can reach every link, button and input with the Tab key.
- Press Ctrl + K (Windows, Linux) or ⌘ + K (Mac) to open search from any page.
- The keyboard-friendly calculator lets you type numbers and operators directly.
- Focus is clearly shown so you can see where you are.
Screen readers
- Pages use clear headings, labels and landmarks.
- Form inputs have labels, and results are announced when they change.
Seeing the page
- You can zoom to 200% or more, and text can be made large without breaking the layout.
- We use colours with good contrast and do not rely on colour alone to share meaning.
- Pages work on small phone screens and large screens.
Plain language
We write in short, simple sentences so results are easy to understand.
Known limits
- Charts: charts can be hard to read with a screen reader. Where we show a chart, we also give the numbers as text or in a table.
- Ads: ads come from Google and other companies. We cannot fully control how accessible they are.
- Third-party content: live exchange rates and embedded content from others may have their own limits.
Tell us about a problem
If something is hard to use, please email hello@calcivia.com">hello@calcivia.com with the subject "Accessibility". Tell us:
- The page address (URL).
- What you tried to do and what went wrong.
- Your device, browser and any assistive technology (for example, a screen reader name).
We aim to reply within 2 to 3 working days and to fix problems as quickly as we can.
