This policy explains what information Calcivia ("we", "us") collects when you use www.calcivia.com and how it is used.
Calculations stay on your device
All calculators run locally in your web browser. The values you enter are not sent to our servers. If you use favorites or recent calculations, those are stored only in your browser's local storage on your device. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit for security and performance. If analytics are enabled, we use aggregated, anonymised statistics (for example, Google Analytics) to understand which pages are useful.
Privacy-friendly site analytics
We measure how the site is used with our own first-party analytics hosted on our server. It sets no cookies, does not store IP addresses or browser fingerprints, and honours your browser's Do Not Track setting. We record anonymous, aggregated information such as pages viewed, approximate country (from your device's time-zone setting), device type, referring website, which calculators are used and page-speed measurements. Visitors are counted with a one-way hash that changes every day, so we cannot follow you across days or identify you.
Advertising and cookies
We use third-party advertising companies, including Google, to serve ads. These companies may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), we ask for your consent through a certified consent management platform before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA or India's DPDP Act), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Because we do not collect calculator inputs or create user accounts, we typically hold very little personal data. To make a request, email hello@calcivia.com.
Children
Calcivia is a general-audience website and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country).
