This page explains how to control your privacy on Calcivia. It also lets residents of California and other US states use their right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising.
Opt out of sale, sharing and targeted ads (US states)
We do not sell personal information for money. But when Google shows personalised ads on our site, this may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under laws such as the California CCPA/CPRA. You can opt out in these ways:
- Use Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out automatically for that browser. You do not need to do anything else. Our analytics script also stops sending data when GPC or Do Not Track is on.
- Use the Privacy choices link in the footer of any page to change your ad choices, once ads are live.
- Email us at hello@calcivia.com">hello@calcivia.com with the subject "Privacy request".
Because there are no accounts, an opt-out applies to the browser and device you use. If you use another browser or clear your cookies, you may need to opt out again.
Turn off personalised Google ads
- Google My Ad Center - manage or turn off personalised ads from Google.
- aboutads.info/choices - opt out with many ad companies (US).
- youradchoices.ca - Canada.
- youronlinechoices.eu - EU.
You will still see ads, but they will be less based on your interests. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
EEA, UK and Switzerland: change your consent
Once ads are live, visitors from these places will see a Google-certified consent message before ad cookies are used. To change your answer later, click Privacy choices in the footer. The consent message will open again.
Delete data saved on this device
Your favorites, recent calculations, saved scenarios and settings are stored only in your browser. To delete them:
- Use the clear option on the site (you can make a backup first if you want to keep them).
- Or clear "site data" or "cookies and site data" for https://www.calcivia.com in your browser settings.
We cannot delete or restore this data for you, because we never receive it.
